Matignon, a destination between heritage and nature

Welcome to Matignon, a charming Breton town, located not far from the Emerald Coast and its magnificent beaches and cliffs. Combining heritage, nature and Breton traditions, Matignon is a perfect stopover to discover the Côtes-d'Armor.

A preserved Breton heritage
Matignon preserves beautiful stone houses typical of the region, as well as the Saint-Germain church, whose imposing bell tower dominates the village. The village market, renowned throughout the region, is a real immersion in local flavors and Breton crafts.

Proximity to the most beautiful sites on the Emerald Coast
A few kilometres away, the seaside resort of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo offers superb sandy beaches and panoramic coastal paths. Cap Fréhel, with its dizzying cliffs and iconic lighthouse, is a must for lovers of wild and marine landscapes. For the more athletic, head for the hike on the Sentier des Douaniers (GR34), which runs along the coast and offers spectacular views of the sea.

A typical Breton cuisine
Matignon, like all of Brittany, showcases seafood and ancestral recipes: crepes, buckwheat pancakes, oysters from the Bay of Saint-Brieuc and kouign-amann are must-try dishes.
