Discover Villa Saint-Pierre, a historic hotel located in La Trimouille, near Poitiers, in the Vienne region. This former castle, left in ruins for 7 years, was purchased and fully renovated by Josiane, our passionate manager. With constant care to respect the soul of the building, she preserved the original structures while adding a touch of modernity to the interior decor. The result is a hotel that perfectly blends history and contemporary comfort.
When you step through the doors of Villa Saint-Pierre, you are transported through the centuries. The keep, dating back to 1025, is the only remaining vestige of the old castle. The Renaissance manor, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, still marks the facades with its mullioned windows. The dovecote, tinted pink in the 19th century, adds a picturesque touch to the ensemble. This estate was once the stronghold of the La Trémoille family, founded by Pierre I, Count and Duke. In homage to a valiant ancestor of Eleanor of Aquitaine, he took the name Guillaume to reign.
